The Channel & Message section is where you can add up to four channels of communication for your advocates to reach their respective legislators.

You are able to select multiple channels for advocates to use in sending their message. The available channels are:

Email
Twitter
Facebook
Phone

Once you select a channel, you need to select the target list(s) to be used for that channel. You can select from one of the default lists or you can select one of the custom target lists that you have created.

After selecting a target list, you need to enter the message that the advocates will be sending. The message will be dependent on the type of channel selected.

Email channel – For the email channel, you need to select the letter(s) that the advocate can send.
Twitter channel – For the twitter channel, enter a message with a maximum of 280 characters. It is also possible to include an image to be sent with the message.
Facebook channel – For the Facebook channel, enter a message for the advocate to post. It is also possible to include an image to be sent with the message.
Phone channel – For the phone channel, enter the talking points that the advocate should use when phoning their targets.

To add an additional channel, select the Add Another Channel link. You will be given the option to select a new channel that you have not used yet.

When you have completed adding all of the channels that you want to use, click Continue to move on to the Display step.
