Introduction

In this guide you will learn how to use your browser's network logging feature in order to capture your browser's network activity.

When troubleshooting any odd behavior a website may be exhibiting, knowing exactly what your browser is communicating over the Internet is absoutely vital to the diagnostic process. By logging your browser's network activity you will be able to generate a timeline that describes the following:

  • What websites or services your browser connected to.

  • What data was sent to these websites or services.

  • What data was received from these websites or services.

  • The results of each data transmission.

This timeline is exportable to a file, called a HAR (HTTP Archive), which can be sent to DDC Public Affairs for analysis.
