Coalescent Event Integration with Democracy Direct®
Overview
Coalescent is a fundraising event management platform used to publish events and capture details such as location, beneficiary, elected officials or candidates, and fundraiser information.
Democracy Direct® (DDC) is where clients track event participation, contributions, disbursements, and compliance reporting. The Coalescent integration allows event data to flow directly from Coalescent into DDC so events can be easily tracked and reconciled.
Getting the Integration Enabled
The integration is fully supported by Democracy Direct.
To begin using it, clients must coordinate directly with Coalescent to have the “Send to DDC” feature activated on their Coalescent account.
Once Coalescent enables the feature, a Send to DDC button will appear next to events you have RSVP’d to in Coalescent.
How It Works
RSVP to an event in Coalescent.
Click “Send to DDC.”
Coalescent securely transmits the event information to our system.DDC automatically imports the event.
The event appears in Democracy Direct—usually within 4–5 minutes.
No additional setup is required inside Democracy Direct.
Where Events Appear in DDC
Once imported, events are visible in Event Search, where users can:
View full event details
Record participation
Add receipts or disbursements
Create check requests tied to the event
Track participating committees and amounts
Reporting & Compliance
All contributions and disbursements associated with these events automatically feed into your standard Democracy Direct reporting tools to support compliance requirements.
Additional Notes
Event creation flows from Coalescent to DDC, not the other direction.
Events typically appear in DDC within a few minutes after sending.
